On August 28th and 29th, 2023
the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology organized a project for the development of life skills and the enhancement of educational standards for teachers and students at the Border Patrol Police School. The opening ceremony of the project was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Songnakorn Karnna, Deputy Dean for Administration and Planning, Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, at the Border Patrol Police School in Ban Baroi, Sadao District, Songkhla Province.
The project for the development of life skills and the enhancement of educational standards for teachers and students at the Border Patrol Police School aims to improve the quality of education and enhance the professional capabilities of teachers, focusing on practical implementation, skill training, and experiential learning for students in the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology. It encourages students to have a sense of public service and the ability to apply their coursework to schools, communities, and society. Additionally, the project aims to develop necessary skills for teaching among the affiliated instructors of the Border Patrol Police School. This involves integration with the professional teacher program. The participating students are from three different programs: Industrial Education, Electrical Engineering, and Mass Communication Technology.
The project is divided into four main bases of activities:
Base 1: Strengthening teachers to become change leaders, led by Asst. Prof. Chareefah Hutyee and Miss Apichaya Khwankaew
Base 2: Teacher-artisans of creative learning, led by Miss Apichaya Khwankaew
Base 3: Basic knowledge of electrical work, led by Miss Nutjired Kheowsakul
Base 4: Teacher-artisans in community academic service, led by Asst. Prof. Kritsada Kongpoon
In addition to these bases, there are five skill training groups for teacher and artisan skills:
Group 1: Older siblings teaching younger siblings.
Group 2: Volunteering to teach younger siblings.
Group 3: Enhancing dreams and creativity for younger siblings.
Group 4: Teacher-artisans creating with PVC.
Group 5: Seeking enlightenment through electricity.
Group 6: Creating and innovating media.
