On October 11, 2023
the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, in collaboration with the Keenan Foundation for Asia, conducted a practical training program for the "Learning for Life Enhancement" project. The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Chaiya Tanaphatsiri, acting Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, at the Anake Prasong Building, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya.
The "Learning for Life Enhancement" project's practical training was designed to enhance and develop skills for students preparing for their future careers in the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology. Miss Natthasasi Suma, the project advisor, highlighted the importance of preparing students for their careers, especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had a significant impact on Thailand's tourism industry and its economic recovery.
The project adapted its curriculum from the "Learning for Life" program, which focuses on global knowledge sharing, in conjunction with the curriculum developed by the Keenan Foundation, which continuously enhances knowledge for societal benefit. Thus, preparing students for their future careers is of utmost importance. This event included various sub-activities, such as:
- Energizing Activities to prepare for training, focusing on 21st-century skills (critical thinking skills).
- Job readiness skills.
- Developing attractive resumes with soft skills and hard skills.
- Preparing for job interviews.
- Energizing Activities to prepare for training, focusing on 21st-century skills (communication skills).
- Digital skills.
- A Reel workshop and presentation.
