On April 11th, 2023
the Student Association of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya , organized the IED Smart Leadership 2023 project, chaired by Asst. Prof. Piya Prasongchan, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, along with student development personnel and alumni relations. The event was held at the Historical Park of General Prem Tinsulanonda Statesman, Songkhla, with the aim of preparing participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to understand the process of organizing activities and the overall picture of the event. This would enable student leaders to solve problems by themselves before seeking guidance from experienced advisors when faced with larger issues. The project also promoted communication between student leaders during activities and encouraged them to accept self-improvement in order to foster development and link activities to teacher development.
The project was managed to foster learning in subjects and to promote the characteristics of teachers and citizens through creative activity planning competitions, volunteer work for the community and society, activities promoting patriotism, religion, and Thai identity, activities aligned with the philosophy of sufficiency economics or the wisdom of the monarchy, and other activities. The event also included activities such as tying knots and pouring water on the hands of respected elders on Songkran day.
